About this episode

I suddenly remembered that when I was a first-year university student, I lived in an old, run-down dormitory at my university. My room was about five tatami mats, and there was no air conditioner. The kitchen, bath, restroom, and washing machine were all shared. My room was right in front of the bathroom, so I still remember that I used to check through the peephole in the door to see whether the bathroom was available. Have you ever lived in a dormitory? 【Today’s words】 寮 (りょう) / dormitory, dorm ボロボロ (ぼろぼろ) / old, run-down X畳 (Xじょう) / X tatami mats ※ In Japan, we use 畳 for room size. 1畳 is about 1.6 square meters. 共同 (きょうどう) / shared 覗き穴 (のぞきあな) / peephole 空いている (あいている) / available, free, empty ★This post is also available on the broadcast channel (Japanese daily tips) of my Instagram. 【https://www.instagram.com/channel/AbbOi9lyhNtGwo6A/?igsh=enhqNGRyajhobnZ5】
