On Saturday, an estimated 35,000 people took part in the March for Nature organised by Greenpeace and Forest & Bird — taking a stand primarily against the Conservation Amendment Bill . As well, this year’s Bird of the Year has been announced today as the Karure - Black Robin! Wire Producers Liam and Sara headed down to the demonstration on Saturday to speak to participants about the event, plus hear their picks for Bird of the Year ahead of the announcement.
