Part 1: The Boyfriend’s 911 Call Never Made Sense

In Part 1, the story of 23-year-old Samantha Harer begins with a young dispatcher building a life around public service, her cat Salem, and a fast-moving relationship with police officer Phil Flores. What starts with anxiety over moving in, deleted texts, family concerns, and a terrifying relationship pattern quickly turns into a 911 call from her own apartment, a claim that police accepted almost immediately, one interview with Phil, a grieving family pushing back, and the first signs that the official story did not match what Samantha’s loved ones knew.
