About this episode

Roughly seven days Celeste Rivas was killed, according to prosecutors, D4vd posted a single word to social media, "decay." It's sparked social commentary as many are linking it back to Celeste's death at the hands of David Anthony Burke. No official court source has identified the tweet as evidence, and so far authorities have not connected it to the case. During Burke's preliminary hearing, prosecutors revealed the last text messages between D4vd and Celeste the day before prosecutors say he dismembered the teen. Prosecutors allege Burke fatally stabbed her, after an argument over another woman. Rivas reportedly said she would “end your career and your life” and threatened to “leak all of the s–t” if she saw him with her. According to the state, Celeste was killed the next day. D4vd has pleaded not guilty to charges including first‑degree murder, continual sexual abuse of a child under 14, and mutilation of human remains.
