About this episode
White liberals can be just as anti-Black as white conservatives at times. Many white liberals mean well and publicly support Black people, immigrants, and diversity—but good intentions are not always enough. In this episode, Kyle examines how progressive language can become performative when it isn’t backed by meaningful action or support for Black communities. He challenges white liberals to look honestly at their friend circles, neighborhoods, schools, and workplaces and ask themselves: Are they truly practicing what they preach, or is their allyship only performative?
