About this episode
ABC News Correspondent Jim Ryan talks about how after following witness accounts and satellite images to a remote South Pacific island, a team of investigators has been forced to admit that it has not found aviator Amelia Earhart, navigator Fred Noonan or the Lockheed Electra they were flying in when they vanished in 1937. But the researchers have not given up on their theory that Earhart and Noonan survived after Earhart’s twin-engine plane went down during their attempt to circumnavigate the globe.
