What is Evil? Conversation with Joe Sansone, PhD.

I have spent 5+ years now investigating arguably the worst crime in the recorded human history - the faked pandemic, attack on civilian populations by their own government and military forces, in lockstep in most countries of the world. This crime has not stopped and is ongoing, now lead by the people who promised accountability, justice and reform, but delivered more of the same atrocities. Joe has published a new book, which I highly recommend: “Psychopathic Authoritarianism. A Disease of the Soul” In this conversation, we discuss the following questions: Defining Evil: When we use the word “evil,” what are we talking about from a psychological perspective? Do you believe there are genuinely evil people, or is it more accurate to say that people commit evil acts? Is evil something that objectively exists within human nature, or is it something that develops through experience? Where Does Evil Come From: Can a normal, psychologically healthy person commit evil? The Psychology of Evil: Is evil always connected to a lack of empathy? Can someone have empathy and still deliberately do terrible things? What role do narcissism, psychopathy, antisocial personality traits, or other personality characteristics play in what we call evil? Is a psychopath necessarily an evil person? Does evil look evil? Can charming, successful, and completely normal people be capable of profound evil? Is it evil to rationalize behavior that is objectively morally wrong? The Uncomfortable Questions: Could any of us become capable of doing something we currently consider evil under the right—or wrong—circumstances? I encourage all of you to initiate similar conversation with your friends and family members. Joe Sansone’s book maybe a good conversation starter. I believe the education on these topics is thoroughly lacking in our society. Let’s change that. Please provide your thoughts in comments. Art for today: Plein air in Sonoma, watercolor, 8x10in.
