Episode #114

The Sons of KISS Have an Album! But Is It Any Good?

THE NEXT GENERATION OF KISS HAS ARRIVED… BUT IS THE MUSIC ANY GOOD? 🎸🔥
When your fathers are Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of KISS, you've got some pretty enormous shoes to fill!
This week on Hooligan Nation: A KISS-Centric Podcast, Anthony, Father Rocco, Black Diamond Dave and DD-Deb turn their attention to Evan Stanley and Nick Simmons, the sons of two of rock and roll's most recognizable personalities.
The Hooligans sit down to review the debut album from Stanley/Simmons and answer the question every curious KISS fan wants answered:
IS THE MUSIC ACTUALLY ANY GOOD?
Growing up with two legendary rock stars as fathers certainly creates expectations, but does having the Stanley and Simmons names guarantee musical success?
We're putting the famous family connections aside and judging the music on its own merits!
What do we think of the songwriting?
How do Evan and Nick sound together?
Are there standout songs that deserve repeat listens?
Do we hear any musical influences from KISS?
Does the album establish Stanley/Simmons as an act with its own musical identity?
And most importantly…
WOULD WE STILL BE INTERESTED IF THEIR LAST NAMES WEREN'T STANLEY AND SIMMONS?
We're breaking down the music, discussing our favorite and least favorite moments, and sharing our overall impressions of the album.
Is this the beginning of something special, or will the next generation of the KISS family struggle to escape the enormous shadow of their famous fathers?
