2000 Plus - "Worlds Apart" (1950)

2000 Plus presents “Worlds Apart,” originally broadcast on November 29, 1950, over the Mutual Broadcasting System. This 30-minute science-fiction anthology drama was produced by Sherman H. Dryer and Robert Weenolsen. The spaceship Phoenix sets out on a pioneering voyage to Neptune with Captain Roberts, rocket engineer Jim Granger, and a group of passengers aboard. When a navigational emergency forces the ship down at the remote Green Valley installation, the rescued travelers find themselves confined amid unfamiliar technology, strict security, and increasingly troubling questions. Old Time Sci-Fi Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
