Simak’s Galaxy Science Fiction novelette, the production was directed by Daniel Sutter and features Alan Bunce and Anne Seymour. In a twenty-first-century suburban home, dedicated kit-builder Gordon Knight expects a robotic dog kit—but receives something much larger and more sophisticated. As the finished robot, Albert, begins helping around the household, Gordon faces unexpected questions about ownership, responsibility, and what a machine may be entitled to become.
