Saved by the Bell: The New Class — Back to Bayside!

Just when you thought graduation meant it was time to say goodbye to Bayside… meet the new class. This week, we continue our trip through the Saved by the Bell universe with Saved by the Bell: The New Class. We talk about how the show came to be, its attempts to recreate the magic of the original with a new group of Bayside students, and the many familiar plots and character types that got recycled along the way. We also get into the constantly changing cast, Screech’s return to Bayside as Mr. Belding’s assistant, and the surprising longevity of a spin-off that’s largely forgotten today—even though it ran for seven seasons and spawned its own series of novelizations. Plus, we briefly jump ahead to the 2020 Saved by the Bell revival and what happened when Bayside opened its doors to yet another generation. Was The New Class a worthy continuation, a copy of the original, or just proof that nobody ever really graduates from Bayside? Join us as we head back to The Max and revisit the other Saved by the Bell. #SavedByTheBell #SavedByTheBellTheNewClass #TheNewClass #Screech #MrBelding #BaysideHigh #90sTV #SaturdayMorningTV #90sNostalgia #RetroTV #TVNostalgia #StopRuiningMyChildhood
