Rob McConnell Interviews - BENJAMIN CREME - The Star and the UFO Phenomena

Join Rob McConnell as he welcomes Benjamin Creme (1922–2016), internationally known British author, artist, lecturer and esoteric philosopher whose extraordinary teachings connected UFO sightings, extraterrestrial civilizations, spiritual evolution and the anticipated appearance of a mysterious figure known as Maitreya, the World Teacher. As the founding editor of Share International magazine, Creme spent decades travelling around the world presenting his controversial beliefs about humanity's spiritual future and what he described as the hidden involvement of advanced extraterrestrial beings in human affairs. At the centre of this fascinating interview is “The Star,” an unusual celestial phenomenon that Creme announced in December 2008. According to Creme, a brilliant, star-like object would become visible in the skies around the world, signalling the approaching public emergence of Maitreya. Reports subsequently circulated of mysterious lights appearing to change colour, pulsate, move unpredictably and display unusual brightness. But Creme made an even more astonishing claim: the mysterious star was not actually a star at all, but one of four enormous extraterrestrial spacecraft positioned around the Earth!Creme believed these spacecraft were operated by highly evolved beings he called the “Space Brothers,” whom he associated with civilizations on Mars, Venus and other planets. He maintained that these extraterrestrial visitors were working alongside a spiritual hierarchy known as the Masters of Wisdom to help humanity overcome conflict, environmental destruction and spiritual ignorance. In his teachings, UFO sightings, crop circles and other unexplained phenomena were connected to a much larger cosmic plan involving the transformation of human consciousness. These interpretations remain spiritual and extraterrestrial claims rather than scientifically established explanations of the reported phenomena.Creme also taught that Maitreya, whom he described as the World Teacher awaited under different names by various religious traditions, would eventually make himself publicly known and encourage humanity toward peace, cooperation, justice and the sharing of the world's resources. His predictions attracted international attention, fascination and skepticism, raising questions about the relationship between religious prophecy, extraterrestrial contact and the human desire to discover meaning in mysterious events.
