Community Guidelines

Last updated: Jul 3, 2026

Onion Podcasts is a place for genuine podcast discussions. To keep the community respectful and safe for everyone, we ask all users to follow these guidelines when leaving comments or interacting with others.

What is not allowed

  • Harassment or personal attacks against other users.
  • Hate speech based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Spam, unsolicited promotions, or repetitive off-topic messages.
  • Illegal content, including content that promotes or facilitates illegal activity.
  • Sharing other people's personal data without their consent (doxxing).

How to report a comment or user

If you see content that violates these guidelines, tap the ⋯ menu on any comment and select "Report comment" to flag that specific message, or "Report user" to report the person who posted it. This works the same way on both the mobile app and the web.

How to block a user

To stop seeing content from a specific user, tap the ⋯ menu on any of their comments and choose "Block user". You can review and manage your blocked users at any time from Settings → Blocked users.

Moderation and consequences

All reports are reviewed by Onion Podcasts moderators. Comments that violate these guidelines will be removed. Users who repeatedly break the rules may have their accounts suspended.
